The International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professionals (IICFIP) has called on the federal government to invest in training qualified and credible Nigerians in forensic profession to be able to tackle fatal criminal investigations across the country. The stakeholders made the call in a forensics conference held in Lagos on Wednesday. Speakers at the conference pointed out that forensic skills are necessary for effective criminal investigations and it will enable the participants to acquire relevant skills to give appropriate responses to citizens and media enquiries into matters of forensic and evidential nature connected to criminal investigations.
