Four Turkish nationals abducted in Kwara


DSP Ajayi Okasanmi, Police Public Relations Officer in Kwara state, says four Turkish expatriates have been kidnapped from a pub in Gbale village in the Edu Local Government Area of Kwara.

The incident occurred around 10pm when the men were having a drink at the pub when a gang of six armed men invaded the pub and took the victims away.

The victims were said to be working with the Instabul Concrete Limited in Gbale.

The state Commissioner of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has now dispatched a team of the Operation Puff Adder operatives to commence an immediate search of the forests in the area to rescue the victims and arrest the hoodlums.

He added that the efforts of the police were beginning to yield positive results, but did not state if any arrest had so far been made.
