Food inflation: FG working to reduce hike – Minister of agric

The minister of agriculture, Muhammad Abubakar has reiterated the federal government’s commitment in tackling the challenges of the current inflation and food security in the country.

The minister gave the assurance at this week’s federal executive council, FEC meeting, presided over by vice president, Yemi Osinbajo at the state house, Abuja on Wednesday.

Abubakar said the continuous rise in food prices is not peculiar to Nigeria but a global issue, caused by the after-effects of the Covid-19 pandemic which has affected food supply chains, climate change and the current Ukraine/Russian war.
