Flights disrupted as aviation union lock down Lagos airport terminal

Members of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria on Tuesday picketed the entrance gates of the Murtala Mohammed Airport two Terminal in Lagos.

The union alleged that its members working with the operators of the MMA2, Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited (BASL) were sacked without due process over the weekend.

In a letter signed by its Deputy General Secretary, Frances Akinjole, the union had issued a seven-day ultimatum to the management of Bi-Courtney Aviation Services Limited, asking them to reverse the sacking or face picketing.
