The Federal Government is set to kick off its Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Program with support from the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) on Tuesday.
According to presidential spokesperson, Tolu Ogunlesi, the program aims to place 20,000 skilled young Nigerian graduates (under the age of 30) into jobs in private and public sector organisations around the country.
He also noted that the goals of the program include “improving employability, building useful career and leadership skills in young graduates, and connecting employers and potential employees.”
The jobs will last for 12 months, will be fully-paid, and will seek to help prepare qualifying recent graduates for their future careers and work environments.
On Tuesday, President Buhari is expected to announce when applications for both fellows and host organisations will officially open.
