The federal government has revealed plans to lift the ban imposed on contact sports as part of efforts to contain the spread of the coronavirus pandemic in Nigeria.
Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, disclosed this in a series of tweets on Thursday.
This comes after sports lovers took to Twitter to trend the #LiftBanOnContactSports with many comparing Nigerian sports with foreign leagues.
Dare urged Nigerians to remain patient, saying he is hopeful that the re-opening of all sports will be up shortly.
