FG justifies decision to grant Pipeline surveillance:contract to Tompolo, describes it as right decision

There have been concerns over the pipeline surveillance contract awarded to a former leader of the Movement for the Emancipation of Niger Delta, Government Ekpe-mupolo, popularly known as Tompolo.

While some lauded the government’s decision, others are of the opinion that the government was left with no choice.

Justifying the decision, the federal government argued that end-to-end pipeline surveillance would require the involvement of private entities and community stakeholders.
