The Federal Government has inaugurated the digital Nigeria portal and mobile app.
Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, said this development is in alignment with the Digital Nigeria Programme, which was launched by President Muhammadu Buhari on March 19, 2020.
The minister, during the inauguration in Abuja, said the programme was targeted towards empowering creators and entrepreneurs with necessary skills to flourish in the evolving digital economy.
Pantami said the Digital Nigeria Programme was part of the Federal Government Initiative of upholding digital literacy and skills, a pillar of the National Digital Economy Policy and Strategy for a digital Nigeria
He added that the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy (FMCDE) was partnering global institutions including Microsoft to enable Nigerians to acquire digital skills.
The minister stated that students could download necessary certificates of completed courses since the portal allows the inclusion of additional courses occasionally.
