FG evacuates 332 Nigerian from UK

Another batch of 332 Nigerians stranded in the U.K due to the Coronavirus pandemic are on their way home.

The returnees including 6 infants departed Gatwick Airport, London to Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos today, August 8, 2020 at 12.05 pm.

They are aboard an Air Peace Flight No. P47854.

Meanwhile the federal government has announced that the 8th batch of evacuees from the U.K. Will be brought back on August 21st.

The government announced this in a memo signed by the Nigeria High Commission in London.

According to the statement, prospective evacuees were advised to indicate interest by paying for either a business or economy ticket.

It also revealed that the evacuation will be handled Airpeace.
