Election Tribunal Adjourns Ruling to June 24

Chairman of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, Justice Mohammed Garba has adjorned ruling in the application of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to June 24th.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, are contesting the results of the February 23 presidential election, where President Muhammadu Buhari emerged winner.

The plaintiff had earlier moved a motion to inspect the server and data of smart card reader used by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the conduct of the presidential election.

INEC, however, has repeatedly faulted their claims.

The tribunal has now reserved ruling in the application after counsels in the case argued their briefs in the suit.
