Edo Governorship Election: Obaseki submits nomination form


Edo state Governor Godwin Obaseki has submitted his nomination and expression of interest form at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

APC National Organising Secretary, Barrister Emma Ibidiro, received the form from the aspirant, in Abuja on Wednesday.

A group, the Obaseki Mandate Forum, had purchased the nomination form for Obaseki, which cost N22.5 million Naira.

Obaseki will now go head-to-head with Ize-Iyamu, a former Secretary to Edo State Government, at the June 22nd APC diriect primaries.

The Edo state governorship election is scheduled to hold on September 19th.

    EDo State outgoing governor, Godwin Obaseki, should blame himself for lacking leadership quality and being an ingrate, having turned against his benefactor, comrade Adam Oshiomole, who selected and campaigned directly for him and installed him in Edo State villa,Godwin Obaseki, thought he could muzzle his way back again, by traveling to meet president Muhammadu Buhari, whom Gowin Obaseki, campaigned and worked agaisnt his re-election for another four years term, in 2019, which resulted to president Muhamamdu Buhari, losing Edo State as well as ONdo State, to PDP, Atiku Abubakar, because, both governor Rotimi Akeredolu and governor Godwin Obaseki,who supported opposition against their own political party,APC-president Muhammadu Buhari.
