ECOFEPA LEADS CHARGE TO ADDRESS EXCLUSION OF WOMEN AND YOUTHS FROM POLITICS

The President, ECOWAS Female Parliamentarians Association ECOFEPA has attributed the unprecedented high rate of political and social instabilities among West African Member States to systematic marginalization of women and youths from politics.

The ECOFEPA President, Woraye Sarr while speaking at the fifth Edition of its Town hall meeting in Liberia said young women and youths in the sub region suffer exclusion because of their age, limited opportunities, and projected lack of political experience.

Chairman ECOWAS Youth Assembly, Emmanuel Chea said for any society or nation to move towards the path of greatness, women and youths must be included as an integral part of politics and the decision making process.
