Cultural Imperialism: Group warns against EU

The Civil Society of Nigeria has called on the Organization of African, Caribbean and Pacific States to reject the EU-ACP Trade agreement.

According to the CSO, the goal of agreement is to introduce practices that contradict African culture and values.

Speaking on behalf of the group, the Chairman, Human and Constitutional Rights Committee of the African Bar Association, Sonnie Ekwo-wusi explained that signing the agreement, means indirectly consenting to legalization of abortion, transgender and LGBTQ        lifestyle.

He further added that the agreement violates parental rights and destroys the ACP families which are the fundamental units of the society and safe-nets in ACP countries.
