Covid-19 response progress: WHO chief gives report, calls for more effort in vaccination

The director-general of the World Health Organization, Tedros Ghebreyesus says COVID-19, which is now surging in many parts of the world, is a startling reminder of how quickly the virus can mutate and spread, especially in the absence of high vaccination coverage.

The WHO boss said this at a media briefing on the six policy methods employed to tackle the virus worldwide.

While giving review of progress made so far, the WHO boss called on all countries to not relent on its effort to vaccinate at least 70% of their population
