COVID 19: Nigeria records 82 fresh infections, zero deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC has confirmed 82 new COVID-19 cases across the country on Wednesday.

According to an update from the agency, the new cases were reported in eight states, as Rivers state topped the chart with 52 infections, while Kano and Kebbi states recorded 9 and 6 cases each increasing the country’s infection toll to 213,403.

Others are Kaduna (5), Plateau (5), Enugu (3), while Bauchi and Lagos reported one case each.

No new death was however recorded on Wednesday leaving the fatality rate at 2,973.

The NCDC said 39 people were discharged after they recovered from the infection, raising the country’s recovery tally to 206,245.
