Nigeria on Sunday recorded 36 COVID 19 infections, raising the country’s infection tally to 254,989.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the new cases were reported in three states and the federal capital territory (FCT).
Yobe state topped the infection chart with 30 cases, followed by Lagos the epicentre of the virus and FCT with 3 and 2 cases respectively while Rivers State logged one case.
Also, data from the NCDC showed that 32 persons were discharged after they recovered from COVID-19 infections raising the number of recoveries to 249,372.
Meanwhile, no death was reported on Sunday leaving the total number of fatalities at 3,142.
