An additional 247 cases have been added to Nigeria’s covid 19 infection tally.
According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, the new positive samples, brings the total confirmed cases in the country to 209,960.
The new infections were reported in 14 states and the federal capital territory (FCT). Plateau topped Thursday’s chart with 49 cases, followed by FCT and Kano with 46 and 29 cases respectively.
Others are: Lagos (27), and Kaduna (26), Gombe (14), Bauchi (11), Cross River (11), Kwara (11), Rivers (9), Ondo (8), Niger (2), Oyo (2), Edo (1), Ekiti (1).
Meanwhile, ten persons were reported to have died of COVID complications, raising the country’s total casualty figure to 2,850.
