COVID 19: Nigeria records 23 fresh infections, as tally rises to 213,487


The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC) says 23 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in five states and the federal capital territory (FCT)

The agency confirmed the new cases in its update for November 19.

Plateau topped the infection chart with 9 cases, followed by FCT and Bauchi with 6 and 3 cases respectively.

Others are: Sokoto (3), while Kaduna and Kano reported one case each.

The agency said nine persons were discharged on Friday after recovering from the infection.

There were however no recorded fatalities.

To date, 213,487 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed; 206,301 recoveries have been recorded, and 2,973 deaths have been confirmed across the country.
