COVID 19: Nigeria records 161 new cases, as infection tally rises to 168,713

Nigeria on Monday recorded 161 positive samples of covid 19, raising the nation’s infection tally to 168,713.

According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), the new cases were reported from four states.

Lagos topped the chart with 153 infections followed by FCT and Gombe with four and two cases respectively. While Oyo and Rivers both recorded one case each.

The NCDC said “74 cases from Lagos State reported on the 11th of July, 2021” were added to Monday’s figure.

Meanwhile, no new death was reported on Monday, maintaining the death tally at 2,124.

So far, 164,476 people have been discharged in hospitals and Isolation centers across the country.
