The federal government has directed all non-essential public servants on grade level 12 and below to stay and work from home as part of efforts to stop further spread of the novel coronavirus, COVID-19.
The directive takes effect from Tuesday, March 24th and will remain until further notice.
It was issued in a circular released by the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation and signed by Folashade Yemi-Esan on Monday, March 23.
The circular also advised public workers on essential duties to practice social distancing.
It added that any public servant on essential duty who may have recently arrived the country from any high risk nation should self isolate at home for 14 days and reported any suspected symptoms to the appropriate authorities.
