Coronavirus: Governor Wike storms Caverton Helicopter office over movement violation


Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike  led the team of some security operatives to arrest the pilots of the Caverton Helicopters in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

This follows an alleged violation of movement restriction put in place to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Governor Wike asked that the Caverton’s pilots be interrogated on reasons they flew passengers into the state.

The governor also asked Caverton to produce all passengers they brought into the state.

According to reports, Caverton flew passengers into the state in spite the border closure order by the Rivers Government.

Since the pandemic Coronavirus broke out in Nigeria, Rivers state have recorded 2 cases of the Coronavirus.

The state government have since been taking strict measures to contain the spread of the virus
