Senegal midfielder El Hadj Malick has expressed his team’s readiness ahead of their crucial clash with Nigeria at the ongoing CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN).
The Teranga Lions, guided by head coach Souleymane Diallo, are aiming to defend the title they won three years ago in Algeria. Speaking ahead of tonight’s match, Malick emphasized the squad’s determination to meet the high expectations of Senegalese supporters.
“We are determined. We know that Senegalese back at home expect a lot from us,” Malick said.
The encounter is scheduled to take place at the Amman Stadium in Zanzibar and will mark the first-ever CHAN meeting between Nigeria and Senegal — two West African football powerhouses.
