Cancer treatment: patients lament difficulties accessing affordable healthcare


Some ailing cancer patients ranging from prostate, breast and cervical cancer have condemned the federal government over the inability to get affordable treatment in the country.

The patients in the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital Gwagwalada groaned over the challenges faced in the course of treatment while calling on the government to come to their aid and support cancer treatments especially for those in dire need of finances.
Meanwhile the first Lady of Kebbi State, Zainab Bagudu, during a visit to the hospital assured the patients that the government is not resting on its oars to ensure cancer patients in the country have access to affordable treatment..
