Buhari returns two days early from UK visit


Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari arrived Abuja on Friday evening from a “private visit” to the United Kingdom.

The aircraft which brought him from the UK touched down at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja at 9:45 pm.

The President had been scheduled to return on November 17, but he came back two days early.

He was received at the airport by his Chief of staff; Abba Kyari, Mohammed Bello, minister of federal capital territory (FCT); Tukur Buratai, chief of army staff, Mohammed Adamu, inspector-general of police, among others.

Buhari had departed the UK from Saudi Arabia where he attended the third edition of the Future Investment Initiative (FII) after departing the country on October 27.
