President Muhammadu Buhari has confirmed the reappointment of Mr. Ahmed Idris, as the Accountant General of the Federation.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by the Director, Communications, Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Wunmi Ogunmosunle, on Wednesday in Abuja.
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the renewal of the appointment of Mr Ahmed Idris for the second and final term of four years as Accountant General of the Federation in accordance with Section 171 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended), ” the statement read.
According to Ogunmosunle, the appointment of Idris would take effect from June 25, 2019.
Before his first appointment in June 2015, Idris had served as the Director of Finance and Account at the Federal Ministry of Mines and Steel Development.
He had also served as Director of Finance and Accounts at the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) headquarters, Abuja.
