Buhari meets with executive committee of Medical Association


President Muhammadu Buhari is currently meeting with members of the executive committee of the National Medical Association (NMA) in Abuja

The delegation is led by President of the NMA, Francis Faduyile.

The purpose for the meeting however remains unknown.

This is not the first time the group will be meeting President Buhari. In July 2018, the NMA staged a similar visit to the president where they discussed pressing issues in the health sector.

During that meeting, the NMA specifically urged the President Buhari to Nominate a Chairman for the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria and also establish a health bank to provide a health fund among other issues.

Members of the committee include the Kenneth Tijo who is the 1st Vice President, Ofem Egbe Enang, the Second Vice President, Secretary-General, Olumuyiwa Peter Odusote among others.
