President Muhammadu Buhari has described the abduction of hundreds of students of Government Girls Secondary School, Jangebe in Zamfara State as inhumane and totally unacceptable.
While reacting to the incident on Friday, President Buhari said that his administration will not succumb to blackmail by bandits who target innocent school students in the expectations of huge ransom payments.
Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Garba Sheu in a statement quote the president as saying “No criminal group can be too strong to be defeated by the government. The only thing standing between our security forces and the bandits are the rules of engagement.”
The president sends a strong message to the bandits to desists from criminal acts or face the heavy weight of the law.
