BREAKING: Nigeria’s inflation rate drops to 18.12%


For the first time in 20 months, Nigeria’s inflation rate has recorded a decline to 18.12 percent in April.

This is a 0.05 per cent reduction from the 18.17 per cent recorded in March.

The new figure was contained in the April consumer price index/inflation report released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on Monday.

According to the NBS, food inflation also reduced to 22.75 percent in April from 22.95 percent in March.
