The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control has confirmed 64 new cases of COVID-19 in the country as cases hit 1,337.
The NCDC announced the new cases on Monday night on it’s official Twitter account.
In a series of tweet, the health agency revealed that the cases were recorded in the following pattern- 34 in Lagos, 15 in FCT, 11 in Borno, 2 in Taraba and 2 fresh cases in Gombe state.
The fatalities of the disease have increased to 40 resulting from complications from the disease.
This latest development is coming after the third nationwide broadcast by President Muhammadu Buhari where he approved the extension of the lockdown on Lagos, Ogun and the FCT, with an immediate lockdown directive imposed in Kano state.
