Botafogo offer Mikel $2m 18-month deal

Botafogo have offered Mikel an 18-month deal that would see him earn $2 million dollars over the duration of the contract.

The former Super Eagles captain, and former Chealsea Midfielde, Mikel Obi, was released by his former employer, Trabzonspor, following an outburst on the social media from the Nigerian over the safety of players.

Now, Brazilian Serie A club, Botafogo, continues to push to sign him with a new deal, that will see the former Chelsea player earn more than the $1.6m he received at Trabzonspor.

Meanwhile, Botafogo has just completed the signing of Japanese, Keisuke Honda, in a new move to recover their greatness in Brazil.
