Bayelsa records 14 new covid-19 cases, one death


The National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed one new death and 14 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bayelsa.

Giving further details, Jones Stowe, Director of Public Health and a member of State COVID-19 Task Force, said the new death brings the total number of deaths in the state to 10.

The Director said that with the new 14 cases, the state now has 169 confirmed cases.

Active cases stand at 130, while discharged cases are 29 persons.

This comes as Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases exceed 20,000, with 436 new infections recorded on Sunday.
