Army parades 15 suspects linked to murder of former Air Chief


The Nigerians Army has paraded 15 suspects linked to the killing of former Air Chief, Alex Badeh on December 18, 2018.

The suspects were paraded by Chairman of the joint investigative panel, Major General, Bamidele Shafa who revealed that five other suspects are at large but assured that the services and other agencies are on their trail.

“We are parading high-profile suspects involved in the gruesome murder of the late Air Chief Marshal Alex Badeh.

“Our findings are; one, the attack and killing of Badeh was criminal and does not have any political undertone. Twenty persons were involved in the attack out of which 15 have been arrested. The services and agencies are still on the trail of the suspects.

“The suspects have confessed to their direct involvement in the crimes.”

Major General Shafa also revealed that the suspects admitted to the abduction of one of the occupants in the vehicle during the attack of which N2m ransom was paid.

He however ruled out the possibility of a political undertone attached to the murder, saying the act was masterly executed by high profile criminals.

Meanwhile, the orderlies to the late Defence Chief have been released to their formation after due interrogations.
