APC vows to respect court judgement on Oshiomhole

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has promised to respect the verdict of the Abuja High Court in Abuja that restrained Adams Oshiomhole from functioning as the National Chairman of the party.

Acting National Secretary of the party, Victor Giadom, gave the assurance while addressing journalists at a press conference at the APC headquarters in Abuja.

According to Giadom, the APC is a law-abiding political party and remains committed to obeying court orders.

He disclosed that the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party would meet soon to deliberate on the challenges facing the APC.

Justice Danlami Senchi of the FCT High Court ordered Oshimhole to restrain from parading himself as the Chairman of the APC.

He held that that political parties must be bound by their constitution and having been suspended by his ward, Oshiomhole is restrained from functioning as the National Chairman of the APC pending the hearing and determination of the substantive suit.

The judge then fixed hearing for April 7 and 8, 2020.

The Edo chapter of the All Progressives Congress in November 2019 suspended Oshiomhole for reportedly fueling the crisis besieging the party.
