Lawmaker representing Sokoto East Senatorial District, Ibrahim Gobir has been named the new Leader of the Senate and Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Caucus.
President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, made this announcement on Wednesday at plenary.
He said Senator Gobir’s appointment followed receipt of a letter from the National Chairman of the APC, Abdullahi Adamu.
Until his elevation, Gobir was the Chairman Senate Committee on National Intelligence and Security.
