The Lagos State Special Offences Court in Ikeja has again adjourned the alleged child molestation case against embattled Nollywood actor, Olanrewaju Omiyinka, popularly called Baba Ijesha.

Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo adjourned the matter till Tuesday, July 27, 2021 after the counsel for comedienne, Adekola Adekanya, also known as Princess, played primary evidence against the embattled actor.

The court played a video clip which was said to have captured Baba Ijesha while allegedly molesting a 14-year-old girl in the care of Princess.

Princess then told the judge how she met Baba Ijesha and how the actor allegedly sexually assaulted the minor.

According to the comedienne, she met Baba Ijesha in 2008 at an event and the two decided to start making comedy skits together.

She also claimed Ijesha wooed her in the process of their work relationship but she rejected his proposal.

Baba Ijesha is facing a six-count charge of sexual assault by penetration, indecent treatment of a child, and sexual assault, which contravene sections 259, 135, and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011, as well as 135, 263, and 262 Criminal Law of Lagos State 2015.
