Alleged fraud: Court adjourns Maina’s suit for bail application until Nov. 6

Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja has adjourned the bail application filed by the former Chairman of defunct Pension Reform Task Team, Abdulrasheed Maina, until November 6th.

Justice Abang gave the ruling after hearing the arguments of both the defense and prosecution counsel.

Maina is being prosecuted by the anti-graft agency on a 12-count charge bordering “money laundering, operating fictitious bank accounts and fraud.”
He has however pleaded not guilty to all the charges leveled against him by the EFCC.
On October 25th, the judge had fixed Wednesday for trial, and ordered the EFCC to remand Maina in the Nigerian Correctional Service centre.
