President Muhammadu Buhari has again asked ministers to channel all requests to meet him through his chief of staff, Ibrahim Gambari.
He gave the directive while speaking at the first-year ministerial performance review retreat of his administration, in Abuja on Tuesday.
The President, however, stressed that matters related to the federal executive council should be handled by the secretary to the government of the federation.
Buhari had in 2015 given a similar directive to ministers, asking them to submit their requests through Abba Kyari, his late chief of staff.
Meanwhile, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo has decried the growing rate of poverty in the country saying the situation is getting deeper.
Osinbajo speaking at the first year ministerial performance review retreat on Tuesday said the government plans to build 300,000 homes across the country under the mass housing programme to support Nigerians.
He adds that the prices of the houses will not exceed N2 million each.
The Vice president who also acknowledged that the coronavirus pandemic has affected the living standard of Nigerians, charged ministers to expedite action on the N2.3 trillion stimulus package designed by the government to mitigate the effect of the crisis on the economy.
