Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and his deputy, Lucky Ayedatiwa have been sworn in for second.
The duo took the oath of office on Wednesday during the inauguration ceremony held at the International Culture and Events Centre, Akure, the state capital where they were sworn in by the state Chief Judge, Justice Olanrewaju Akeredolu.
Akeredolu was re-elected as the Governor of Ondo State during the October 10, 2020 Governorship election in the state where he swept to victory by winning 15 of the 18 local governments.
Akeredolu polled 292,830 votes, while Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Agboola Ajayi of the Zenith Labour Party came second and third in the election with 195,791 and 69,127 votes, respectively.
Present at the swearin-in ceremony are Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu; Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun; Osun State Governor, Gboyega Oyetola, Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki; Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi as well as other dignitaries.
