2023 Presidential race: Politicians will always make decisions that will benefit them –Oshoma

Meanwhile, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has set up a committee to screen its vice-presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections.

According to the party’s spokesperson, Debo Ologunagba, members of the Vice-Presidential Candidate Screening Committee were nominated by the PDP National Working Committee (NWC).

Ologunagba explained that the NWC constituted the committee in line with the electoral guidelines of the main opposition party.

He added that the screening exercise would hold by 10 am on Thursday inside the NWC Hall at the PDP national secretariat in Abuja, the nation’s capital.

With just two days to the expiration of the June 17 deadline given by INEC to political parties to submit names of presidential and vice-presidential candidates, pressure mounts more than ever before,

While the likes of Governor Nasir El-Rufai, Abubakar Badaru are in contention for the VP slot of the ruling APC, those in line for the PDP’s vice-presidential slot include Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State, and Former Senate President, Ken Nnamani.

But beyond these, what will inform these major party’s selection of a running mate.

To discuss this further, I’m now being joined by Liborous Oshoma who is a public affairs analyst. Thank you very much for joining us.
