Senator Datti Baba-Ahmed, founder of Baze University has been declared the running mate of Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi

The 46-year-old was a former lawmaker who represented Kaduna North Senatorial district.

Baba-Ahmed’s announcement comes barely 24 hours after the Director-General, Peter Obi Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, announced his withdrawal as the vice-presidential candidate of the party.

Speaking at an event in Abuja, the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi described his running mate as a recognised wealth creator and manager who fits well into the mould of a transformative and adaptive leader.
